Recording Studio & Tracking

Need a professional space to record your song, EP or album? Moreish Studios provides a relaxed, high-quality recording experience for solo artists, bands and ensembles at our recording studio location, located at 8 Lily Street, Coburg North, Melbourne. The studio is suitable for vocals, drums, guitars, piano, overdubs, live bands and other acoustic instruments, including strings and other orchestral instruments.

Every booking includes Shane Jarvie-Kohn as your recording engineer. We’ll help organise the session, choose the right equipment and keep the recording process moving so you can concentrate on delivering your best performance.

Is recording the right service for you?

If your songs and arrangements are ready and you need a professional studio and engineer to capture them, this is the right place to start. If you need help developing the songs, arranging parts or organising session musicians, explore our Music Production service instead.

Once recording is complete, we can also provide professional mixing and mastering to prepare your music for release. These post-production services are quoted separately, with discounted options available for recordings completed with us.

You’ll have access to professional recording equipment from Neumann, AKG, Neve, API, Manley, SSL, RME and more. You can view the wider collection on our recording gear and equipment page.

The studio is also available for professional audiobook narration and voice-over recording.

If you require a particular instrument or piece of equipment, please mention it before booking so we can confirm its availability.

Before You Book

To help us recommend the right session length, please include:

  • ● A demo, voice memo or link to the music you intend to record.
  • ● The number of songs and performers involved.
  • ● The instruments you plan to record.
  • ● Two or three reference tracks that demonstrate the quality or direction you have in mind.

How much can we record?

As a safe starting estimate, allow one full day to record one complete song. A well-rehearsed band tracking live, or a session focused on one stage such as drums or vocals, may complete more content efficiently, but over a longer period. The final amount depends on preparation, arrangement complexity and the number of setup changes required.

Premium Recording
  • ● $750 full-day booking (8 hours).
  • ● $500 half-day booking (5 hours).

  • ● Suitable for solo artists, full bands, drums, piano, ensembles and choirs.
  • ● Shane Jarvie-Kohn included as your recording engineer.
  • ● Audiobook narration and voice-over recording welcome.
  • ● All prices are in AUD. Recording rates cover the studio and recording engineer. Session musicians, production, post-editing, mixing and mastering are additional unless included in your written quote.
