Music Mixing Service

Mixing music is arguably the most crucial step in the post-production process. This is where a lot of the time should be spent and it takes the longest out of all the post-production processes for a good reason. We mix music with specialised analogue gear that makes every individual track pop. Since we use a combination of analogue and digital, our mixes can take a little longer than someone who works purely digitally, or “in the box”, but we assure you the results are very worth the extra work and wait.

Shane Jarvie-Kohn has spent many years as a mixing engineer and treats every track with the attention it deserves. With brands like SSL, Neve, Shadow Hills, UAD and more, we have more than enough to get those tracks radio-ready.

For those that don’t quite new to the post-production processes: Mixing music and all the production stages can be likened to building a house. Taking all the materials and putting them together, tweaking in real-time. To understand the importance of treating these processes right, try to imagine if you put a door on the wrong way. It is going to cause an issue and may be a nightmare to change it later, no matter how nice the wood of the door is, if materials are not constructed correctly you will never get the best out of them.
When we view mixing as construction and mastering as the paint, varnish, finish etc. it’s easier to understand just how vital correctly mixing music is and should really not be a job that gets looked over.

As you can tell we have a lot to say about each process and here at Moreish Studios we will always be happy to discuss things with you as much as you need to ensure you feel confident about your decisions regardless of if you choose to go forward.

What do you need to do?

The DAW of choice here is Pro Tools HD so there are a couple of ways we can go about this, and
they are:

◉ Send me your Pro Tools session.

OR

◉ Send me the individual tracks/stems from your recording session.

The following links will provide you with additional necessary information about how to do this
process correctly and where to send the files.
