Music Mastering That Makes Your Mix Release-Ready

So, your mix is sounding great—but is it ready for release? That’s where music mastering comes in. Mastering is the final polish in the music production process. It brings clarity, balance, and that professional sound that translates across all listening environments—whether it’s headphones, club speakers, or streaming platforms.

Think of mastering as the quality control step. A skilled mastering engineer fine-tunes your finished mix, making sure it’s loud enough without distorting, balanced across frequencies, and consistent with today’s standards. It’s the difference between a good track and a truly finished one.

At Moreish Studios, our mastering studio is fully equipped to deliver that final sonic upgrade your music needs. Whether you’re mastering a single, EP, or full album, our experienced sound engineers and mastering engineers work with a mix of high-end digital tools and analogue gear to get your tracks sounding their absolute best.

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every artist has a different sound and intention, so we tailor our mastering process to suit your project. Whether you’re aiming for radio-ready loudness, streaming platform consistency, or vinyl mastering, we’ve got the tools and ears to get you there.

Lastly, we always want to make sure that we are going to be a good match so the first master is always provided as a sample before full commitment to the project to ensure the utmost confidence going forward.

Have questions or want to hear the difference? Get in touch with our team at Moreish Studios. We’re always happy to walk you through the mastering process or set up a consultation. Let’s make sure your music is not just heard—but remembered.

Preparing the track for mastering:

Our music mastering process is the same as most in the industry:

◉ The highest quality stereo WAV or AIFF (Not MP3) of the bounced mix. We prefer to work with whatever the session was mixed in. Recommended: 24bit/48kHz OR no lower than 16bit/44.1kHz is preferred.
◉ -3db Headroom is preferred but so long as the track does not peak and hit above 0db we can work with it. A friendly reminder in most DAWs, the master fader is a POST-FADER fader unless set otherwise. Any peaks will not be removed by lowering the master fader and this needs to be done via the PRE-MASTER.
◉ Turn off any limiters. Less is more with any master bus processing. Please be mindful of your master bus compressors if used. We understand it can be a part of the mix style but leaving us room to work with our ears and dedicated equipment will always be best.
◉ Make sure ‘Normalise’ is turned off on export.
◉ We can provide ISRC codes for an additional fee. Please note: this is also usually done by the streaming/online distributors nowadays automatically.

Moreish provides a music mastering service that puts the finishing touches on your track.
