** It is the purchaser’s responsibility to read and understand the terms and conditions before placing an order or using any of the services available on this website at www.moreishstudios.com.au. **

Payment:
Payments are done in phases, and the next phase will not commence until the invoice for the previous phase has been fulfilled. An example of this is: Recording will be invoiced separately to Mixing. Mixing will not commence until the payments for the Recording phase have been completed and likewise to Mastering. If only one service is being used then completed files will be sent until once full payments for the service are made. Online payments can be made via direct bank account or through the invoice directly in $AUD. If using a credit card there will be an additional 1.5% processing fee.

Revisions:
For Mixing, you can expect to receive up to 2 major revisions within the original quote. The songs will be uploaded to a streamed link where you will be able to mark specific spots and make detailed requests directly onto the track. We encourage involvement by those interested in the mixing process during this time to proactively leave detailed notes when the files are uploaded. After a reasonable time period there will not be an option to add more notes or changes, so please be aware to use the time wisely. An in-person mix day can be arranged on request for an additional studio hire fee. After the 2 major revisions smaller changes can be made on request complimentary, these changes are listed bellow.

What is covered:
• Volume adjustments of individual tracks or sounds.
• Adjustments of effect amounts (eg. changing the amount of reverb and/or delay on instruments).
• Correction of requested details in the revision notes that have not been made as asked, unless technical reasoning to why this can not or has not been completed has been provided by us.

What is NOT covered:
• New files or stems that were not included in the original session or files.
• Any changes to the arrangement, additional stems or tracks or changes in direction of the mix that differs from the original instructions given.
• Changes in style or sound.
• Instruments and tracks being re-processed through outboard gear.

IMPORTANT: During the revision phase and until the payments have been finialised, all versions of the work that have been worked on by Moreish Studios are forbidden to be claimed or released and remain the intellectual property of Moreish Studios. Once payments have been made all rights of the files go to the client.

Approval
Once the mix has been approved the “revise” stage is considered complete. Any revision requests after this point will incur an additional fee.

Recording Tiers and Packages:
It is important to be aware that the different packages are sold at different rates, and because of this it is only realistic that they each will be able to live up to a certain level of quality based on the value. This is due to the fact the lower-priced options have had to make arrangements that can allow the process to fit into this price range or budget. As an example, the high-tier recording will be recorded at Lily Street Studios, this space is very large and professional space that accommodated for high end, full range recording. Access to this level of recording will incurs a higher hiring fee to provide superior results. The casual-tier is the most affordable because we use our own personal spaces, such as Moreish Studio’s post-production mixing and mastering studio which is equipped with necessary recording facilities. Doing this, we can cut the prices even more as we will not have any additional hiring fee and only need to cover our own time in a much smaller space. When considering the casual tier, please be mindful that the results and experience may not be of that of the high tier, and expectations should match budgets. That being said, the equipment we use in the casual tier is exceptional quality (see The Gear for more information), and so, you should still expect excellent results. We will always talk you through your best options based off your project and budget to receive the best product available to you.

Important casual-tier studios and Moreish Studios in-house studio information:
1) As mentioned, the casual-tier uses in-house studios to allow us to provide services to a larger range of clients who have different needs. Though this is very unlikely, we may be forced to contact you prior to the session to recommend a change of date for the recording if things out of our power are to occur that will disturb the recording process, such as spontaneous non-notified construction. We want the time to be as productive as possible for you and you only pay for what you use. It is up to you as the client to continue or not if notified, but if we have recommended a change of time prior to the session then we will not be under obligation to offer additional time that may be disturbed or lost. If it happens during the session and we have not contacted you prior then we will do everything we can to not charge more and provide you with what was expected, which may include offering additional time or sessions or relocating you to the Lily Street Studio. It is up to the client to understand that we will do our best to get you the best results we can, but can only work within what is realistically possible, especially if budget constraints are an issue. We hope you understand and will always happily discuss any of this in more detail when requested.
2) Moreish Studios in-house studio does have 3 resident cats living on the premises. Though arrangements can be made to keep the cats out of the studio space during sessions and recordings please be aware that they are present. They are very friendly but if you have allergies or issues with cats we encourage you to bring this up prior to any in-person sessions so suitable arrangements can be made. They are very friendly, but never forget they are cats and are expected to act like one sometimes.

For Music Production projects, please see our Production Release Agreement linked below for full details on releasing, crediting and re-selling music:

Production Release Agreement

Crediting:
This is usually discussed during the release process as it can be worded on a case-by-case basis, but any work done by Moreish Studios should be appropriately credited to state the name and job done by the recording, mastering or mixing engineer as per usual standard. An example of this could be “Mastered by: Shane Jarvie-Kohn” or “Mastered by: Shane Jarvie-Kohn at Moreish Studios” where relevant.

Free Mastering Sample:
The free mastering sample will be delivered on a first come first serve bases and the client will be notified of an ETA once the message and file have been received by Moreish Studios, during business hours. During busy times clients may need to expect longer wait times. Moreish Studios will be as transparent about this as possible on the first point of contact. The file will be delivered in a way that it will not be releasable and be edited to contain cuts and dips to prevent it from being used commercially but will give a clear idea of how the final result will sound regardless. Until payments are completed, the master or sample master remained the intellectual property of Moreish Studios and can not be used by the client in any way.

Discounts and Promotional Codes:
Discounts from the mentioned affiliates (Music Victoria, 3RRR) are 10% off the total quote, and proof of membership will be requested during invoicing. Discounts can not be used in conjunction with other offers and only one discount can be applied per transaction. If a promotional code is used, the code will be considered the discount and the order may not be subject to any further discounts. Information about individual promotional discounts can be found on the Promotions page.

Cancellations
Cancellations made within 24 hours of a booking in Studio A (Lily Street Studios) will still be required to cover the studio hire fee for the allocated time unless discussed otherwise by us. This will not include the engineers fee if using an engineer from Moreish Studios. External engineers may have their own cancellation policies.

File Storage
We aim to keep backups of your projects for extended periods of time, a minimum of 6 months is to be expected. However, these backups are kept as a courtesy. In the unlikely event of data loss, you agree not to hold Moreish Studios responsible for any lost material after the completion of a project and the package has been sent.

Refunds
The packages are provided as digital files, which are non-tangible and irrevocable. Because of this, once payment has been made, Moreish Studios are unable to issue a monetary refund. It is very important to us that clients are happy with the process and results, which is why we offer revisions and will put in the extra effort to try and ensure a positive outcome so long as the requests are kept within reason. In the unlikely event you are not satisfied with the outcome, we will continue to work with you until you are so long as the desired outcome is within was agreed upon and is achievable, but once the next phase has began or files have been delivered, we are sorry to inform all sales are final and no refunds can be issued as the majority of the work will have been done.

Privacy:
Your privacy is very important to us and we know the material provided can be sensitive to you. Moreish Studios will never use your material in any way that could infringe on your rights as an artist and/or copyright holder.
